We’re Dan and Kat!

Photography has been part of both our lives since our high school days. Endless days in the dark room, journeys on the streets of Vancouver, our cameras an extension of our body always glued to our face. Our love affair with the art of photography led us to meet in the Photo-Imaging Program at Langara College in Vancouver. And the rest is a photographers DREAM!

We love each other ridiculously… yeah, a lot… and our devotion to each other has allowed for us to be the best business partners in the world. We are photographers, and this gift from God has allowed us to be part of so many celebrations of other people’s love for each other. We tear up at ceremonies, it’s such a beautiful thing we get to take part in!

Everyday we strive to be better than yesterday. We want to push the limits, yet remain grounded. Our goal is to continuously provide highly refined and creative imagery for our clients while trying not to be TOO serious about it! Cause we’re fun too…. not-so-serious…. c’mon

| Michelle & David | Married | 06.11.11 |

Michelle and David are one of the sweetest couples we’ve met so far! Both love to laugh, both love to be silly, both love God and both love the CANUCKS! Their wedding was the day after game 6. Lucky planning eh? In honor of the Canucks, they had a cake of a bear dressed in a Canuck’s jersey holding a Canucks flag. Awesome.

Their wedding was held at the lovely Furry Creek Golf Course . The weather was a bit threatening on the way up to Furry Creek in the morning, but the sun poked in the afternoon and stuck around all day. Michelle, David, Dan and I and the coordinator had a blast running around the golf course in our golf carts for photos. Had no idea that parts of Happy Gilmore was filmed there! What a beautiful location!

The people were great, the food was delicious, and the music got the crowd going! We had a great time working with everyone, and wish Michelle and David a wonderful honeymoon in Maui!

A big thank you to our super awesome assistant Mark! And it was great working along side Photobooth Vancouver

Vancouver Wedding Photographers

Miranda and Tommy was our first 2011 booking. What can I say. One of a kind couple. The session was full of quirky and not-allowed-to-be-on-the-internet comments. Tommy and Dan even got a little friendly, and I’m tempted to post some evidence ;p But behind that wall of very….very blunt humour is a very much in love couple who are excited for their upcoming wedding! We’re also looking forward to their day at Capilano in North Vancouver, and can’t wait to work with Kate of Fairy Godmother Weddings !

Here are some favorites of our day with Miranda & Tommy at Horseshoe Bay and at Whytecliff Park !

Vancouver Wedding Photographers

I met Leyla and her family a few years ago through my best friend’s family. Over various dinner gatherings over recent years, it was only small conversations between Leyla and her family and myself, but a few weeks ago, Dan and I got to spend some time with Lelya and her husband Ali.

Leyla and Ali got married in Iran nearly two years ago. Not having any professional photos taken during that time, they felt that now was a good time for them to finally get some done. They flew in from Toronto for her brother’s wedding in Vancouver just a few weeks ago, and so we schedule their Epic Session while they were here.

It was interesting hanging out with Leyla and Ali. Both are quiet and shy people, but through their timidness, we were able to see that they both had a great sense of humour. We appreciated that they were up for the things we asked them to do, and we asked them to do lots of goofy things!

It was no doubt a long day for us all, dealing with lots of traffic between locations, but it was a lot of fun. Leyla and her younger sister, Marjan, got hair and make up done at Flaunt Hair Salon . Thank you to Marjan for helping out on Leyla and Ali’s end (and congratulations on getting into the Professional Photo-Imaging Program at Langara!!), and thank you to our super awesome assistant Mark for lighting and taking care of a lot of logistics for us.
