We’re Dan and Kat!

Photography has been part of both our lives since our high school days. Endless days in the dark room, journeys on the streets of Vancouver, our cameras an extension of our body always glued to our face. Our love affair with the art of photography led us to meet in the Photo-Imaging Program at Langara College in Vancouver. And the rest is a photographers DREAM!

We love each other ridiculously… yeah, a lot… and our devotion to each other has allowed for us to be the best business partners in the world. We are photographers, and this gift from God has allowed us to be part of so many celebrations of other people’s love for each other. We tear up at ceremonies, it’s such a beautiful thing we get to take part in!

Everyday we strive to be better than yesterday. We want to push the limits, yet remain grounded. Our goal is to continuously provide highly refined and creative imagery for our clients while trying not to be TOO serious about it! Cause we’re fun too…. not-so-serious…. c’mon

Paul & Candace: E-session on Granville Island…oooh la la

A beautiful afternoon, one of our favorite locations, and a super gorgeous couple… Lucky us… Lucky lucky lucky…

Starting off the set with one of Dan’s favorite tricks… Silhouettes!… well sorta.

And some goof “n” around…why not?

Up for anything, a looking good while doing it! Jumping, light, and red heels…

Moody and intimate… Tee hee, we tip toed through one “unlocked” open gate into an Emily Carr workshop for this one.

Karen & Bryan: E-Session at Stanley Park

A fun little E-session in Stanley park with these two. Karen and Bryan are super fun and were up for almost anything… ummmm ahhh… with a little encouragement.

Loved getting the doggie in there!

Laura & Nathan: Creatives in the snow!

Vancouver is home to many beautiful things, amazing views, fantastic beaches, great shops… but it is also home to very “unpredictable” weather! Laura and Nathan’s special day started off with a beautiful sun filtered slightly with thin clouds, a photographer’s dream! Then it started to cloud up, “no problem, we’ll work our magic.” Then it started to rain a little, “out come plastic bags and umbrellas, still workable.” Then it got really cold and windy, “Dan forgot to bring a jacket, thankfully our assistant had a spare.” But to top everything off it started to hail and snow during the creatives…. my oh my, what a crazy day.

But we still had fun, and the wedding party was well prepared with an arsenal of colourful umbrellas and cars with heaters blasting between locations. Hope you enjoy the pics

The inside of the beautiful Sherbrooke Mennonite Church with Tilt-Shift loveliness.

And to take some nifty photos while we’re there. Concrete squares, a happy find!

Absolutely LOVE this one of the guys. Matt (super assistant) climbed up good and high to light this one.

Meanwhile, Kat grabbed this awesome detail of the boys standing on the cement pipe…auhh thing. That was BTW not really secure, is rolled back and forth a little… Safety first?
