Finally we are ready to blog about Eva & Terry’s cenote trash the dress session! We have been so busy since their December 2012 wedding, but we’re happy that we’re back on track and ready to roll!
We must say, shooting underwater is a lot harder than we thought. BUT!! It was terribly fun and we can’t wait to do it again. Upon doing a lot of research, we all settled on going to Dos Ojos (Two Eyes) cenote north of an area called Tulum. It was a hot and humid day, so it was quite refreshing to be photographing in the cave water.
Our challenges included dealing with tourists on excursions (it actually got REALLY busy at one point), Dan trying to keep the camera under water as the housing for his camera had air in it and kept floating back to the surface, our triggers apparently don’t work under water, and silly Dan thought he could hold his breath for more than a minute. Oh and those cute little fishies, they continually nibbled on us throughout the day. Ouch.
Despite the huge learning curve, we had a blast with Eva and Terry, and they were troopers for being in the water for over 2.5 hours. We can’t wait to try this again!
